About the rider:

Height: 5’9”

Inseam: 32”

Weight: 170 lbs

Years Riding: 13

Riding Style: Long, mixed terrain rides, mountain, bike polo, commuting

Cody began cycling in 8th grade when he started commuting to school on a “clapped-out,” rigid Stumpjumper. During college he discovered bike polo, which eventually led to his employment as a bike messenger. Attending college in Santa Cruz exposed him to some of the best trails in the world, where he began riding mountain and ‘cross bikes. Cody’s long-standing background in commuting and employment as a bike messenger cultivated a fondness for long days in the saddle, his most recent vacation taking him from Portland to San Francisco with the Sequoia as a faithful companion.

About the bike:

Cody’s need for functionality and reliability made the Sequoia a perfect choice, with a steel main frame, BSA-threaded bottom bracket shell, and standard J-bend spokes, meaning replacement parts are readily available regardless of where the ride takes him. The Sequoia is also adorned with bosses aplenty for touring bags and cages.  Cody’s build is primarily stock aside from Ritchey bars and some custom bags for touring.
