We here at Art’s Cyclery are very excited to announce some big changes on the horizon. In honor of the twenty-seventh season of The Simpsons, Art’s Cyclery is officially changing its name to Bart’s Bikelery.
“The Art’s name has been around for over 30 years, and frankly it’s getting old,” said Art’s owner Joe Quimby. “We’re in 2016 now, and in 2016, nothing’s hipper than the Simpsons. That’s why we’ve teamed up with the Fox Network to become the first bike shop sponsored by a cartoon!”
This transformation comes along with a lot more than just a name change. Instead of offering the best new cycling equipment, like Art’s currently does, Bart’s Bikelery will stock only Simpson’s branded bike parts and apparel.
That means our shoppers can look forward to exciting new products based on America’s favorite family, like “Don’t Have a Cow Man” jerseys and replicas of Lisa’s iconic pink bike (with basket).
“Actually, it’s surprisingly hard to stock an entire bike shop with only Simpson’s branded gear,” Quimby said. “In fact, the only two items we’ll have at launch are the Don’t Have a Cow jerseys and the replica Lisa bikes.
“We’re looking into getting some shorts printed up with the catchphrase ‘Eat my Shorts’ on them, but it’ll be at least a few months before we can fully hammer out those details,” Quimby said.
