Enjoy this second installment of Interbike photos for your enjoyment. This one features FiveTen, Shimano Pro, Intense, and POC. If video is more your style, we those too and they are available here.
- Here is a close up of the cutaway.
- This cutaway shows how POC goes the extra mile to ensure that their helmets offer the best protection possible by reducing the likelihood of brain damage caused by rotational forces in an impact.
- This fire engine red Trabec is a real looker!
- POC had their rainbow palette of Trabec helmets on display that always makes me think of Legos. I love Legos.
- Intense Cycles Founder, Jeff Steber was on hand to answer any questions regarding the bikes he has designed. Always approachable and helpful, Jeff is one of those people that makes the bike industry great.
- Here is a red and gold Carbine.
- Intense had these custom colored frames tucked away in their booth with these blinging gold anodized links and dropouts.
- If you buy an aluminum Intense you really owe it to yourself to take a long hard look at the raw color option. All the craftsmanship and American made quality is on display.
- Intense’s Spider 29 Comp is a real looker. It is super light at 5.5lbs, has slick internal cable routing (including Reverb Stealth routing), and rides as good as it looks. This is what all 29ers should ride like.
- The Pro Atherton direct mount stem utilizes Pro’s head lock clamping system (similar to Easton) that makes setup easier and safer. What really makes it special however is that it comes with riser spacers to adjust your bar height without changing your head angle. Just like the pros!
- This unique Pro Tharsis all mountain stem was on display that has great knee clearance with its wrap around steerer clamp. It is reasonably light as well.
- Shimano Pro had some new 31.8mm riser bars on display that all come at 800mm wide now! These include new Atherton and Vanderham bars that are lighter and wider than before, plus a new Tharsis bar that is very affordable and offers the same bends and fit yet is only about 30g heavier.
- Even the shaft on this pump is unidirectional carbon!
- Shimano Pro Components had this very cool full carbon mini road pump on hand that was insanely light.
- The Freerider XVI is also available in this blue and white color combo.
- The new XVI sole allows for easier repositioning on the pedals yet greater ultimate grip.
- 5.10 had the new Freerider XVI shoes at the show with their beefed up construction.
