Giro had these killer Empire concept shoes on display. According to my internal poll at Art's the Blue Man Group blue version is the favorite. I would be stoked with any of those colors.
Here is the final installment of Interbike photos submitted for your approval. Take a look at products from Giro, Schwalbe, WTB, SRAM, Lezyne, Rotor, Formula Brakes, 3T & Phil Wood. We also have a huge selection of videos from Interbike available here.
- Back home my son Joel was stoked on the swag haul and is proudly decked out head to toe!
- Here is a shaky cell phone picture of the Sinclair Imports party at the Wynn’s XS club on Thursday night.
- Formula was displaying this amazing speed lock feature that works like a pneumatic air line quick connect. The line can be disconnected and reconnected without spilling a drop or affecting performance. Perfect for internally routed brakes.
- Formula had their R1 brake on display with speed lock for easy internal cable routing.
- 3T’s 80mm deep Mercurio 80 wheels
- 3T’s Mercurio 60 wheels look very sharp.
- WTB’s new Nineline tire was on display at Interbike. It looks to be a great hardpack/racing alternative to the Nano tread. 537g at 29×2.0
- There is so much detail on these sculptures that it is hard to fathom.
- SRAM had this amazing sculpture of a bird of prey on hand made almost entirely of SRAM components.
- The standard Reverb cutaway was also on hand as there are some big differences between the standard and stealth internals.
- Rockshox had this Reverb Steath dropper post cutaway on display to show just how much engineering goes into products like this.
- Phil Wood makes seat collars in a rainbow of different colors that are all made to the quality and durability standards that every Phil Wood product is known for.
- Phil also had this cool little display of the various steps involved in manufacturing a crank arm beginning with a plastic 3D printed rapid prototype.
- Phil Wood had this crazy Santa Cruz V10 downhill fat bike on display with a Sycip built custom rear end and custom fork crowns and front hub to accommodate the nearly 5″ wide tires!
- Rotor had their 3D+ machined cranks on hand with their signature Q-Rings installed. All the beautiful CNC work on these cranks produces a component that looks like modern industrial art.
- Rotor’s Flow aero crank is a new addition to the product line up.
- Here is Rotor research specialist Christie O’Hara with one of Rotor’s affable owners Ignacio Estelles, who was on hand to personally answer any questions regarding his company’s innovative products.
- The left crank arm is also equipped with its own strain gauges to provide data on left and right leg power discrepancies.
- The big news at the Rotor booth was their new power meter crank. This is the most advanced power meter crank on the market at the moment by a long shot. It can collect data on pedaling smoothness and efficiency on both arms independently. With 8 strain gauges sampling at 500 Hertz, it is super accurate.
- These girls worked hard. Check out the dedication this one is showing right here!
- The Sinclair Imports booth had some hired talent on hand to answer the show attendees’ many questions.
- This other Pegoretti was on display as well with Pegoretti’s trademark hand painted accents.
- This Pegoretti had an amazing textured paint job that was nearly as rough as sandpaper and twice as tough. Very cool and reminiscent of the pavement we all ride on.
- A full side profile of this highly sought after Pegoretti steel bike.
- This gorgeous Pegoretti was on display at the Sinclair Imports booth.
- I had an opportunity to use the micro floor drive pump at the Dirt Demo to fix a flat on a massive Surly Knard 29×3.0 tire and was amazed at how fast I got it inflated.
- There are so many models that they won’t all fit on one table!
- Lezyne has a mini pump for every need under the sun.
- Lezyne’s jewel-like tools were on display in all of their many polished and anodized flavors.
- Schwalbe’s wide range of tread designs were on display. This included 650B sizing for the Racing Ralph, Rocket Ron, Nobby Nic, Hans Dampf & Hans Dampf Super Gravity.
- This hiking boot inspired version of the Giro Empire seemed to be the most functional with its lace hooks for easier on/off.
- Giro had these killer Empire concept shoes on display. According to my internal poll at Art’s the Blue Man Group blue version is the favorite. I would be stoked with any of these colors though.
