Prototype Race Face Narrow Wide Chainring Colors

Race Face Narrow Wide Chainrings1×10 and 1×11 setups are gaining popularity every day. No product has done more to enable this revolution for the masses than the Race Face Narrow Wide Chainring that enables chainguide-less chain retention with a clutch-equipped rear derailleur. Race Face is now playing with some new colors for the Narrow Wide ring that they are considering producing. The two colors are Orange (which looks to be the new black) and “Kash Money.” If produced, these colors will be offered in addition to the existing black, red, and blue options.

The Kash Money color is intended to mimic Fox Racing Shox‘ Kashima coat to help color coordinate bikes outfitted with Fox suspension. The 32 tooth prototype ring that we photographed isn’t quite there yet on the Kashima color match, but it doesn’t help that matching the color of Kashima coat is like trying to hit a moving target. We’ve seen some Kashima coated products that look downright brown, while others look gold. With all that said, even if the Kash Money color doesn’t change on the production version, it still looks rad whether you have Fox suspension or not.
