Long known as an industry leader in the car rack business, Thule has broadened their product offerings to include some very innovative bike-mounted racks and bags for touring and commuting. The most exciting new feature on offer is compatibility with virtually any bike. Carbon road bikes, full suspension mountain bikes, disc brake equipped single-speeds; all of these will take the Thule Pack ‘n Pedal rack with no rack eyelets required.
Thule’s Pack ‘n Pedal bags are just as innovative as their racks. By using a unique hook system that clasps the rails of the rack (any standard rack, it doesn’t have to be made by Thule) and a powerful magnet to attach the lower portion of the bag to the rack, these bags are as secure as Fort Knox. Other innovative features abound including hidden hardware that uses a James Bond style rotating license plate system to eliminate the barb-like rack hooks that make carrying a pannier off the bike uncomfortable.
