Intense Cycles came by the shop today to begin our two-day, free Intense demo event. Among the bikes that showed up in the truck was Intense Test Rider, Sam Wilson’s M9 275 (650B) prototype! We got the spy shots to prove it too. Feast your eyes on the future of downhill racing in high-res glory in the gallery below!
The new M9 275 will feature two travel positions to produce 9 to 9.5-inches out back and the Manitou Dorado is limited to 7-inches of travel internally. Once 650B specific forks are available around Sea Otter, you will likely see 8-inch travel 650B downhill forks. Geometry is still being finalized but will likely stay the same to what you see here, but obviously corrected for a longer 8-inch travel 650B DH fork.
Art’s is very excited to work with such an innovative company and we look forward to seeing many more ground breaking designs from Intense Cycles.
- She’s a looker for sure.
- Two position adjustable travel will remain unchanged on the M9 275.
- The new M9 275 features integrated bump stops although the production model will likely differ from these and will look a little slicker.
- The new M9 275 dropout does away with the G3 system and goes to a stiffer, lighter fixed position.
- Currently the Manitou Dorado is the only non-prototype fork available that will work with the larger 650B wheel.
- Check out the new lightweight carbon link on the M9 275 proto.
