As WTB’s Global OEM sales manager, Nevada City, CA native Jason Moeschler has to put in the hard hours behind a desk. Despite all that computer work, however, Jason still manages enough saddle time to maintain elite shredder status; after all, you have to be familiar with the gear you’re selling! If you need proof, look no further than Jason’s 2015 All Mountain World Championship title, his fourth such accolade.

As a youth, Jason was an American XC powerhouse, but, like the stand-up guy he is, when the time came to choose between doing what was right and following the herd, Jason stepped up to take care of real-world responsibilities to himself and his family.

As part of WTB’s product development and testing corps, you can thank Jason the next time you overcook a turn and your WTB tire gets you through, or your tubeless tire seats up with no fuss.

Have you ever seen examples of supernatural phenomena, ie Bigfoot, ghosts, miniature creatures, chupacabra, etc?  No, but I have heard a human laugh the same as a hyena – his name is Ben Cruz.

Dawn patrol or evening ride? Always evening rides.  I work way too late each night to wake up early.

Have you ever used your bike as a getaway vehicle, and why?  Only to run from a large Mountain Lion.

If you had to ride with cantilever brakes instead of hydraulic discs or elastomer suspension instead of current technology, which would it be? I think I would take the elastomer suspension.

Best cycling innovation? Di2.

Flats or clipless? Clipless.

Would you rather be a circus clown or a rodeo clown? Rodeo clown.

Favorite place to ride? Graeagle, California.

Who are your heroes or role models? Mark Weir, Don Drageset, and my Dad.

Favorite WTB product? PadLoc Commander grips.

Pizza or burrito, and what would be on/in the perfect one?  Burrito: rice, chicken, fresh tomatoes, cheese, and cilantro.

Cross-train or ride more? Ride more.

Anne Caroline or Minaar? Anne Caro.  We have been riding with her for years.

Tomac or Palmer?  Is that even a real question?  Tomac is Legend.

Meditation or Metallica?  Meditation.

What was your first bike? It was an H-Man 16” wheel from Kmart.

Websites you check everyday?  Believe it or not, there are days I don’t look at the web.

Is it a roost or a carve? Roost.

What is one super power you wish you had? The ability to get others to do my work for me.

What are you most grateful for? My wife, kid, family, friends, and a job that allows me to ride a ton.

appreciates the climb and its challenges, but is convinced the only reason to pedal faster up the hill is to start your descent sooner. While he has sampled the joys of long rides on the tarmac, the dirt is where you’ll find him. When not on the trail or in the water, Luke likes to drive off into the wild to take his daughter camping in his cherished 1987 Volkswagen Westfalia.
