“Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race.” – H.G. Wells.
Do you know what Herbert and I have in common? We both want you to go outside today and ride that brilliant two-wheeled invention that you’ve been neglecting. I don’t care if you rode yesterday, Herbert is going to get in his time machine and kick you in the derrière if you don’t get on your bike. Go! Now! I can’t believe you’re still sitting there… maybe a few videos will prove more motivational than the fear of an undead author.
Luckily there are plenty of talented and creative people out there who are eager to make your imagination run wild and your pedal pushers start itching.
If this doesn’t get you on your road bike, I don’t know what will.
Let’s take a quick look back at one of the best moments from the 2013 Tour. Keep training and you’ll be Froomin’ up the hills in no time.
Christopher Froome’s victory by 4 minutes and 20 seconds was amazing but even he has room for improvement. Only another 13 minutes or so to catch Merckx, come on Chris.
Ok, ok. Maybe your legs are tired from trying to be like Froome or just from wishing you were like Merckx. You could try any of the following activities instead.
Whatever you end up doing, remember that no one becomes a superstar overnight. Not even Danny MacAskill gets it on the first try every time.
Work hard enough and you might actually retire a legend like Cedric Garcia.
Even after all that you’re still at your computer? Get on that road, mountain, bmx or other monstrosity of a bike soon because your lack of enthusiasm is starting to upset me.
