Mikel Landa (Euskaltel-Euskadi), Paolo Tiralongo (Astana) and another rider were blown off the road by a helicopter’s downdraft near the finish of the Vuelta a Burgos’ Stage 5. The incident occurred when the riders tried to contact the head of the race with only a few kilometers to finish of the climb. They were soon moving again, but were caught by a group containing Samuel Sánchez (Euskaltel-Euskadi) shortly after.
