Customer: Mark S.
Bike: Pivot Mach 6 Carbon
About the Build: At Art’s Cyclery we pride ourselves in selling top of the line frames spec’d with high performance component packages to suit the needs of every rider. Once in a while however, you have to leave it up to the customer to design their dream bike. The customer is always right after all. We get really excited when a customer wants to build a bike from the ground up because they have the potential to create something really rad. Case in point: This custom Pivot Mach 6 Carbon in Electric Blue.
Mark started with a Pivot Mach 6 frame, an Enduro racing machine known for conquering aggressive trail, and dressed it up in a mixed XO1 and XX1 kit. The 11-speed drivetrain keeps shifting simple with no front derailleur and as quiet as a church mouse. The Rock Shox Pike offers 160mm of front end suspension, a perfect match for the Fox Float X CTD rear shock, and is arguably the best fork on the market right now. Pick a bike at random from the Art’s Cyclery staff and it most likely has a Pike on it. Custom built wheels feature Stan’s No Tubes ZTR Flow EX for stiffness and strength and Hope Pro2 Evo hubs with superior engagement and low maintenance. The Rock Shox Reverb offers infinite height positions and is topped off with a WTB Devo SLT saddle for maximum comfort across disciplines. The icing on the cake for Mark’s dream bike is an Easton Havoc Carbon Handlebar, which he better hold onto tight because we know a number of people that would love to call this bike their own.
If only everyone could have a bike this cool…oh wait you can! Check out the Art’s Cyclery Pivot Mach 6 Carbon Bike Builder to build up one of your own.
