We’re starting a new feature on our blog called Kit of the Week where we feature a different kit using the collage building site Polyvore. If you haven’t heard of Polyvore, it’s similar to Pinterest in that it’s an online bulletin board of sorts. This week we’re showcasing some new fall/winter apparel from Castelli to get you geared up for the chilly months. Click the image to visit our Polyvore site.
This kit is ideal for temperatures from 50-65 degrees but you could layer with an outer shell or vest to add some weather protection and insulation. Here’s a brief rundown of each product featured above:
Free Long Sleeve Jersey: Fleecy Warmer fabric insulates and wicks sweat. The aggressive graphics make this jersey eye-catching.
Iride Seamless Short Sleeve Baselayer: This medium-weight seamless base layer works great in every season, with the exception of extreme heat. The polypropylene fabric quickly transports moisture away from your skin to the nylon outer layer where it evaporates.
Free Aero Race Bib Short: Several different fabrics are utilized in the body of the short and the Progetto X2 Air Chamois is seamless, flexible, breathable and antibacterial.
Super Nano Glove: This lightweight windproof glove is free of padding and has a Pittards leather palm to keep your hands glued to the bars.
Nanoflex Leg Warmer: Water resistant nanoflex material repels water to keep your legs warm and dry in damp conditions.
Thermolite 9 Sock: This sock adds a little extra warmth for those in-between conditions. The Thermolite hollow-core polyester fibers trap warmth and the flat knit construction reduces bulk.
Viva Thermo Headband: This headband is made of Thermoflex material, which is soft and warm to protect your ears.
Check back every Saturday for a new kit of the week.
