When fanny packs came back, jokes about the 80’s and 90’s abounded, but luckily the fluorescent colors did not. After the heat and hype settled, many folks (including myself) jumped on the wagon. I bought a Jansport fanny pack at a thrift shop and fell in love with it. Fueled by my hatred for carrying anything on my back, the fanny pack was a perfect compromise for those longer rides where you actually need to be prepared. Though my Jansport was nice, it was nothing compared to the feature-packed CamelBak Palos.
