With a mid-season sponsor change Garmin Barracuda will now be known as Garmin Sharp. The change comes just in time for the 2012 Tour de France. The classic argyle design still graces this new jersey, although it’s a bit more subtle than kits of old. Castelli’s brand manager Steve Smith had this to say about the new jersey and sponsor:
“We are thrilled to welcome Sharp to the team’s family. Team Garmin-Barracuda-Sharp is the most tech-savvy team in the peloton and the addition of this new sponsor, prominently displayed on the new kit, is special for all of us involved.”
