A few announcements from DT Swiss at the 2014 Sea Otter Classic. The biggest one being that all of DT Swiss’s high end carbon Spline road wheelsets are officially tubeless compatible with the use of rim tape. It seems that DT wanted to get all their ducks in a row before giving the green light for their customers to go tubeless on the road. The internally designed and completely revamped carbon road Spline series of wheelsets were originally released at Interbike.

DT Swiss also released a new R20 DiCut Road Tubeless wheelset with a 21mm external width and both 10 and 11-speed compatibility that weighs in at sub 1500 grams. The hub on the R20 is diamond cut, giving it an awesome finished look and shaving off some weight. This is a durable all around or training wheelset.
Finally we took a look at DT Swiss’s new predictive steering compatible hub. DT Swiss is the only company, other than SRAM themselves, to have a hub compatible with the new RockShox RS1 inverted fork. The RS1’s proprietary 27mm serrated Torque Tube axle slides into the specially designed hub, keeping the 32-millimeter stanchion tubes sliding parallel inside the carbon uppers.
