The AT Showdown went down in San Francisco last weekend and saw some serious progression. The format is neat in that the competitors can see what their foe is throwing down and forces them to mix up their run.
The Trans Provence is a multi-day stage race in France in which riders are timed only on the fun parts—not the climbs! This style of racing is big in Europe and is catching on in the States as well.

And finally, the world’s hardest cyclocross race, The 3 Peaks, held in Yorkshire, England. The route is 38 miles long and is raced over the three highest mountains in the county.
